Communication

College Diary

A Diary is issued to all students from ELC to Year 12. The Diary allows communication between teachers and parents on an individual basis. It gradually teaches the children to organize themselves, record homework, notices and reminders.

College Reports

Reports are issued twice a year, towards the end of Semester 1 and Semester 2.

Parent Teacher/Student Interviews

Teachers are very conscious of the need for quality communication between home and school. Parent- teacher-student interviews are held at the beginning of Term 2 in Semester 1 and Term 4 in Semester 2. At these interviews parents have the opportunity to discuss their child’s progress and report with the teacher.

Parent/Teacher/Student interview will also be conducted at the beginning of Term 4 for those students who are deemed to be “at risk” with some aspects of their learning, conduct or attitude.

Homework

Homework is an important process which assists students to develop an ongoing approach to learning, in which teaching in school is complemented by study at home. It also assists students to develop self discipline, organizational and time management skills.
